We use water to give our veggies a nourishing drink and keep the Wonder Kids’ mud puddle full. One of their gardening responsibilities is to water the veggies. They enjoy wetting the veggies then each other.

We would love to enjoy the soothing sound of water from a fountain in our garden.

April Campbell April 28, 2013 at 2:53 pm

Looks great! Would love to add a nice solar-powered water feature to our ever-changing home gardens. We just started vermicomposting, and we’re always looking for new things to try!

Any time I need to calm down, I seek out water. I live only a block from the mighty Susquehanna River because of this. I have an indoor handmade copper fountain for this. Being in an urban neighborhood, I haven’t much of a garden space to use — but having a fountain with such a small footprint, one that could find itself hugging one of the fences, could provide peace within mere steps outdoors. Dreams are made of such things :)

What a pretty solar powered fountain. Something like this would be a perfect addition to a small deck that we are building just outside the master bedroom. I can already imagine waking up to the gentle sound of the water falling.

Julina April 28, 2013 at 3:44 pm

I love the idea of a solar water fountain because I wouldn’t have to pay for the electricity to run it. I would never run an electric one. I also like the fact that the water will be running every day and not become stagnant to attract mosquitoes. I would put it right in my garden. I might have a hard time keeping the kids out of it though. :)

My mom was the gardener in my family. She passed away last year and left her home to me. there is a water feature in it but it has never worked properly. Winning this would not only replace the broken one but would also serves as a memorial to my mom. I hop I can make her proud with my additions to her sanctuary.

Katie Winston April 28, 2013 at 3:54 pm

still water is good for creating a micro climate, moving water is good for humidity and the sounds is lovely, and of course most (all) plants need water to be happy, healthy, and show their best :)

Dottie April 28, 2013 at 3:55 pm

What a beautiful fountain. Solar powered garden art is the best. I can imagine relaxing to the sound of the water flowing, surrounded by the beauty of the garden.

Claire Splan April 28, 2013 at 4:53 pm

That’s a lovely fountain! Raccoons tore apart the simple bamboo fountain I had, so this would be very welcome in my garden!

Louise Hartwig April 28, 2013 at 5:15 pm

Love the sound of water. With solar power it could be used anywhere, by not needing an electrical outlet. Would love this.

keyjey April 28, 2013 at 5:25 pm

1) Water is a necessity for plant growth.
2) I’d use the fountain for ambiance!

Chris McLaughlin April 28, 2013 at 7:33 pm

This fountain is absolutely darling! I love using solar powered anything in my yard & gardens 😀

Annie Haven | Authentic Haven Brand April 28, 2013 at 7:54 pm

This would make the fanciest “Moo Poo Tea” brewer yet I would love to have it in my ranch garden. Being solar powered it would fit in to my sustainable style!

Jeannie Hanson April 29, 2013 at 12:59 am

what a great opportunity to get a fountain out to an area that doesn’t have electricity! Could really dress up a cute spot. J

Kyle April 29, 2013 at 8:14 am

What a great post, very cool that the fountain is solar powered! I would not mind having one of them in my garden! What a great idea, you could set it off alone, or at the end of your walkway! There are so many great things we can do with solar energy its a wonder we do not use it for much more!

Amanda Perez April 29, 2013 at 8:51 am

Would love one of these!

robin April 29, 2013 at 9:15 am

Very cool. I can’t wait to see how it performs in person…somewhere…like maybe in my own garden ;).

Lacia Lynne Bailey April 29, 2013 at 9:28 am

I was just searching solar fountains this weekend! How timely! I love the idea.

I have always wanted a solar power water fountain. It would look perfect in my butterfly garden. Plus the soothing sounds would be very nice to garden too! Crossing my fingers!! Thanks for such a fun giveaway plus thanks for always having beautiful posts to enjoy. I love visiting your site!!

Jessica April 29, 2013 at 12:59 pm

Water is important because plants need it!! This would be beautiful near our pool outside. Thank you for the chance to win

Anne April 30, 2013 at 10:00 am

We plant tropical plants around our fountain. The plants are watered by the splashes and also when we clean it out. Our current fountain is cracked, however, and we need a new one.

Michelle Young April 30, 2013 at 4:36 pm

Just found your blog and I’m in love! I’m working toward getting our garden certified as a natural bird and butterfly habitat, so I think of water not only in terms of the plants I’m growing but how water features can nurture our local wildlife. This lovely fountain would not only enhance that aspect but nourish our own souls as well.

Jennie Brooks May 2, 2013 at 10:16 am

I’ve always wanted a solar powered fountain.

Pamela @RedWhiteandGrew May 2, 2013 at 10:20 am

This would look fantastic on our front porch!

Mia Graves May 2, 2013 at 10:21 am

The sound of running water is so soothing. Who wouldn’t want to come home after a stressful day at work and relax to the sound of this fountain. I really, really want this bad. Would make my day to hear that it was mine!!!!

Lisa D. May 2, 2013 at 10:50 am

I’d love the sound if running water in my garden. It’s great that this fountain is solar too. Water is what makes my edible garden grow.

Jessica S. May 2, 2013 at 11:54 am

Got to have water for my garden to grow, so I’ll not only have pretty flowers to look at but also growing yummy veggies.
I bet the running water sounds very soothing as well and would be great to sit out next to, to read on a nice day. Also love that it’s solar! I’ve got so many solar lights around, a solar fountain would be awesome!

Elizabeth J. May 2, 2013 at 11:57 am

This would be great in our memorial area of our backyard. Added bonus that it wouldn’t need electricity!

RevAllyson May 2, 2013 at 12:05 pm

This is the most beautiful fountain! And I love that it’s solar and doesn’t need hooking up. I’m making a new flower and edible ornamental garden out front and this would be *perfect* there!

Lucy May 2, 2013 at 1:19 pm

Tell us why water is important in the garden, and how you’d like to use this fountain in your home.

I have a huge harden with tons of vegetables so water is super important and I’ve always wanted a fountain

Julie May 2, 2013 at 1:32 pm

Water helps keep my plants and grass healthy. This is a super cute fountain!

janet mittman May 2, 2013 at 1:35 pm

I am always happy to see your facebook posts. Think I originally found you on twitter. I have a fountain that came with my house– it has a little greek cherub draped in a cloth and the fountain shoots out of dual fish mouths. Not exaclty my style! Yours would be perfect! I use water sparingly in the garden from my rain barrel, but love to hear the soothing trickle from a fountain!

Seasonal Wisdom May 2, 2013 at 2:24 pm

I have always wanted a water fountain, would love to relax and enjoy this in my home

Cathy May 3, 2013 at 7:22 am

I have a boring 12 ft wide, 25 ft long retaining wall behind our porch that I plan on dressing up with a vertical garden this year. This beautiful solar fountain would be the perfect accent for my plan!

Jeavonna Chapman May 3, 2013 at 7:25 am

What a lovely fountain. It would be nice to add a water feature to my garden. had not figred that out yet. This looks good.

Prasert May 3, 2013 at 9:59 am

Great for my garden and the birds

Ruth J. May 3, 2013 at 1:20 pm

Water is life. We are mostly water, vegetation and animals require water. It is calming and beautiful.

Julie Rod. May 3, 2013 at 8:11 pm

Water makes my plants grow tall and beautiful

Janice May 14, 2013 at 1:26 pm

I’m sure it still looks good in any garden, and it’s really cool that it is solar powered, but I’m not a huge fan of fountains that are made to look like aged stone. It never quite works out. Anyway, congrats to the winner. I hope they make good use of their new fountain!
