Troy-Bilt Garden Tool Giveaway

by Seasonal Wisdom on August 20, 2015

Troy-Bilt garden tools that you can win in this drawingOne of my favorite aspects of serving as a 2015 Troy-Bilt Saturday6 blogger is that I’m able to review some of the company’s newest garden products – and pass along some of these high quality garden tools on to a lucky Seasonal Wisdom reader.

Enter to win this Troy-Bilt Garden Tool Giveaway (valued at more than $115). If you win, you’ll be all set for your fall garden chores.  But hurry! This random drawing ends midnight on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015.  CONGRATULATIONS to Mary from South Carolina for winning.

What You Could Win from Troy-Bilt

Troy-Bilt recently introduced a new set of garden hand tools, made with German steel, which are meant to last. Here’s your chance to win:

  • Comfort Max Anvil Pruner ($39.99)
  • Comfort Classic Anvil Lopper ($59.99)
  • Premium Flower Trowel ($5.99)
  • Premium Planting Trowel ($5.99)
  • Premium Garden Rake ($6.99)

Troy-Bilt Anvil PrunerTroy-Bilt Comfort Max Anvil Pruner ($39.99)

Fall pruning projects will be easier with these anvil pruners, which also have an integrated wire cutter.

Unlike bypass pruners – which are designed for young, green growth – these anvil pruners work best on tough, mature or dead wood. I’m right handed, but the safety lock position on the top makes these pruners equally useful for left-handed gardeners too.

These Troy-Bilt pruners have extended-life blades that resist rust and repel sap. Their triple-hardened German steel blades have a non-stick coating for a smooth cut.

Troy-Bilt Anvil PrunerTroy-Bilt Comfort Classic Anvil Lopper ($59.99)

In our garden, these anvil loppers are helping to tame a trumpet vine that is a bit too aggressive.

The heavy-duty, German steel blade can cut up to 1.75 inches thick of tough, mature branches. But the lightweight aluminum handle absorbs the shock and minimizes stress on your hands and shoulders. That’s a good thing after a long autumn afternoon working in the garden.

Troy-Bilt Flower TrowelTroy-Bilt Premium Planting Trowel ($5.99)

If your fall gardening chores include transplanting small plants, this flower trowel will come in handy.

This garden tool even feels solid in the hand. The steel is gloss-galvanized and triple-sealed to “help protect the tool from corrosion and rust,” reports Troy-Bilt.

Troy-Bilt Planting TrowelTroy-Bilt Premium Flower Trowel ($5.99)

Fall is a good time to plant or divide several types of perennials. This sturdy, three-inch wide plant trowel will be helpful for those chores.

Like the other tools, this trowel has cool Space Age-looking cut-outs on the handle that enable a solid grip when you’re working.

Troy-Bilt Garden RakeTroy-Bilt Premium Garden Rake ($6.99)

I’ve used this practical garden rake to loosen hard soil and make it easier to pull weeds. I’ve also used it to smooth out garden soil after planting or transplanting. It works great for both chores.

Something tells me this is the kind of tool you’ll end up using for lots of unexpected garden chores.

Fall is when it’s cool enough to sit outside again, so apart from drinking, dining, and entertaining, I love planting bulbs for the promise of spring blooms.

Rust August 20, 2015 at 5:55 pm

In Illinois now, I am about to plant a fall crop of chard, romaine, spinach, and and time to get my garlic in.

Elena Williams August 20, 2015 at 5:56 pm

This is a very generous offer. My old tools could stand to be replaced. What fun it would be to have tools that match! Fun.

Lea Anna August 20, 2015 at 6:22 pm

I honestly like raking leaves, which is good because our house is surrounded by oak trees!

LaJuana Dunn August 20, 2015 at 6:37 pm

Gwendolyn Rose August 20, 2015 at 6:44 pm

I want to spend time in my garden in the fall, picking grapes, harvesting the last of the years vegetables and fruits and preparing the soil for wintering over.

terri August 20, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Nice! It’s good to see a company releasing quality tools; so many are meant to last just a year or two.

Jane McLaurin August 20, 2015 at 7:50 pm

A Garden Gal can never have too many “tools”. Love all the new introductions that Troybuilt has to offer. As a workplace safety consultant and “tom boy” I love the mix of people, passion and machinery. BTW my Troybuilt tiller is still “kicking it”.

Tanya Goldsmith August 20, 2015 at 8:30 pm

Teresa Speight August 20, 2015 at 11:10 pm

I enjoy dividing my perennials, incorporating leaf litter into my beds and keeping my cool season plants alive.

I could use additional tools for a community group I run called the Garden Coalition. I hope I win!

Fall is all about putting in bulbs, dividing the irises and pruning the roses.

I love getting everything ready for winter and playing in the leaves with my son.

Melissa Gould August 21, 2015 at 4:12 am

Fall is the best time to garden in central Florida. During the relentless heat of summer, I do nothing more than start seeds and prepare my beds for the fall garden. Fall is clean-up time…pruning, weeding and tidying.
These well made Troy-Bilt tools would be greatly appreciated by any gardener, especially this one!

Stephanie Reed August 21, 2015 at 4:22 am

Fall is such a beautiful season in Ohio and it seems to have arrived a bit early this year, with temperatures in the 40s tonight. I plan to do the usual cleaning up chores while enjoying the purple asters that are ready to bloom.

Joanna August 21, 2015 at 5:19 am

These look like very well made sturdy tools. I could use some of these! Thanks for the chance to win. :)

What a great set of tools to win. I garden in the fall by planting, cutting back, weeding, and getting the veg garden put to bed….of course planting the garlic and harvesting veggies still.

Michelle in WI, zone 5b August 21, 2015 at 2:18 pm

I love the colors of fall from flowers , to leaves, to pumpkins and gourds. I also love raking the first maple tree leaves into a pile for the kids to enjoy. After that the leaves become a chore but the first is always a celebration.

Carol Yemola August 22, 2015 at 8:54 pm

I like to make my own spaghetti sauce with the tomatoes that I raise during the summer. Fall is canning season for me. As for the garden itself, I get it ready for next year by raking the leaves and adding them to it. Then I till it over and wait for spring!

Noreen August 22, 2015 at 10:51 pm

One of my favorite ways to spend fall in the garden is harvesting any last minute produce that I’ve over looked. Green tomatoes, potatoes, herbs…including anything that’s gone to seed and I can use the seeds for next year or to eat!
